Thanks Guys, appreciate the comments, thats incentive to keep on going! There is no modification to the Camaro rear bumper. The only mod is to the stock econo brackets. They have to be cut and a plate welded on to them so the camaro bumper will bolt right on using the stock brackets on the bumper. kgdb
We want updates kev!! lol. fine.. I'll just have to make the trek over to your end of the city. busy all this weekend, but next looks promising. still drink only 2C in your Tim's ?
Progress has been slow, seems something always gets in the way of working in the shop. Got the rest of the mud work done, I was so happy to finish this side up I popped a wheely !! Also decided to go with a power brake set up, here is a couple pics. Will get more when it warms up and I can get it outside. kgdb
These econo's have a real cumbersome and fugly heater assembly so I picked up a Magic Air unit from member Tedley off his 50 ford parts car and mocked it up. I think I like it. kgdb
coopsdaddy, I thought it was a place for like kinds to gather, fabrication, modification etc etc? I think if my econo didnt belong here the powers to be would have let me know. Seems like many enjoy, sorry you dont. You best hurry back, I think your beers are getting warm. kgdb
What type of tailgate did you start with? On the hinges, did you have to french them into the bed? Any detail pix while putting it together esp on the hinges?
Great write up---great build. I'm re-building a E-pup just like yours and really in interested in that tail gate. Most of these things have the tail gate disease, with few options. Anything else you could share would be appreciated. That's one sweet truck!!!!
