Boy...I am hyped.....I just took my Biscayne project around the block a few times for it's first time out of the garage!.....(Broke in the engine/cam last Sunday) What a HIGH!! All works awesome...considering I replaced the rear end, driveline, transmission, clutch, motor, radiator, brakes/lines etc.....this car is gonna be fun!! All that I expected and more.....(for a low budget driver) Now I need to get some exhaust on it, so the neighbors won't call the police on me...(running two foot straight pipes at the moment)
Thats a great feeling when it finally moves under its own power. When my galaxie finally got on the highway I didn't get the smile off my face for a week. The minute you get out of the shop with it all the hours of work are suddenly worth it, ya know? Hope you have fun with your toy. Don't make it too quiet; its fun to hear your gas burn. Adam
Congrats! Im looking forward to getting my flatty running this summer. I can only imagine the feeling of that first run and drive! I cant wait to feel it myself.
Only other one on this computer is here.... (Haven't uploaded all pics from old computer yet) Thanks for all the kind words....it has taken a full year to get this far.. ON EDIT.....THE BUMPERS ARE BACK TO CHROME....SO WILL THE REST OF THE TRIM BE...(was just expermenting at this point...also have bias tires on the front now too)
Its nice when you get to drive the car/truck you have put your dollars and heart in to running congrats
Nothin' like the first drive- I kind like the grill and single headlights too. Interesting. Maybe tone down the color of the mesh behind it. One guys opinion.
I bet your neighbors were peeking out their windows saying What the heck is he doing now? as you went blairing thru, back and forth, back and forth repeatedly CONGRATS!
Drive by? Looks more like a "touch and go" to me. Had a 63 Biscayne 4 door sedan once, should have kept it; it had 53,000 original miles on it. Still have the front seat; it may find it's way into my 2nd 56 Sedan Delivery, after it gets reupholstered to match the car. BUT, I do like the red checkerboard type covering GM used. Butch/56sedandelivery.
Bob...congrats on getting the Chevy running.....I'll catch up to you in the spring.....I'll drive the coupe out and do a lunch thing......John
