I wish I had more to show, but progress has slowed and I am collecting parts right now. Life, economy and everything else forces it on to the back burners.

Making a little progress getting the coupe on suspension, wheels and tires. Wheels are out getting sand blasted and I finally got the wish bones and installed them. They are custom made by a metal craftsman here in vegas. Made of stainless steel with the steer through option. I have them on my roadster as well and love them.

  3. If I had found the car you did and had the skills you have, the car would look exactly like you've done it. Great build!

I've had some questions about how I set up and what drop I used for steering arms for the steer through bones. Although the coupe has a four inch dropped axle my 32 has a five inch drop and I used three inch dropped steering arms. Minor adjustment was needed to center them in the steer though opening so I think two inch dropped steering arms on the four inch axle will be close for this application. I am sure that minor adjustment will be needed but it should be close enough to accomplish.

This is a cool build. Wish I had the bucks for the initial buy in for a restored car to start with.

Keep posting pics, the car looks great.

I've a 1955 265 C.I. going in my 1930 five window those are some great motor mounts. I'd love to use something like those on my build.

The coupe was looking a little anemic so I had to roll her out to get a little sun. This was the first time out of the garage since the project started giving me a chance to get a feel of the over all metamorphous from stocker to hotrod.

Very nice. The stance is spot on! It's always fun to roll it out of the garage and get further away than the six feet distance your held to in your garage.

An un-chopped Model-A is about as cool as a phone booth... You did a great job on the top, as well as the rest of the car for that matter!

    I want.

Gorgeous! You nailed everything with that. Perfect!

    Edit:

What rim and tire sizes are on there? Love the stance...

Been following this since the beginning (can't remember if I posted or not) but I love how you did the channel and LOVE how you positioned the body in relation to the rear tire... PERFECTION my friend!

Being 100 miles northeast of ya, I hope to see it on the road soon!

  28. I've never understood it. All the guys who know what they are talking about tell you to get the very best body you can afford and it will save you money in the end. That's what you did and you have a beautiful hot rod, yet alot of "hot rodders" here are acting like you broke some unwritten rule by starting out with a solid car. Kudos to you, nice work.
