This car was out of Indy, Jack Gregg driver, Bud (his dad RIP) builder and wrench, we all hung out together in the late '60s and '70 and '80s. They had a red '30s model A coupe before the funny car, SBC injected C/A car it was bad ass. They also had a '58 Vet too with the injected Hemi out of the funny car. The funny car in the pic was a all steel body!

Hey Muttley, do you have any shots of the PVTA Starlite dragster. The Starlite II was a Dragmaster Dart chassis with blown Hemi. The III was Fuller chassis, blown hemi then lengthened and a SOHC Ford inserted. Would really appreciate seeing them if possible
ETA Post #52 in Dragmaster dragsters is the Starlite I, must've been when car was new as there's no lettering done

Thank you, The top shot and the bottom shot were the Starlite IV, owned by John Moxley and driven by Chuck. Sponsor was still PVTA. It didn't run too much as I remember

Here ya go.....1961, their '34 coupe with blown Olds engine. Harry ("Hairy") was the driver @ age 18. Brother Pete was the chief mechanic/chassis builder/bodyman & painter. Pete wanted to drive too.....his first & only pass, he wadded the car up into a ball. (endo'd 3 times, stuck throttle & chute failure).

The replacement, a steel bodied Fiat in 1962.....

Soon replaced with a fiberglass Bantam body after the NHRA allowed replica bodies to be used in the altered classes.....

New chassis with a '23T body used, and they eventually switched to a blown Chrysler engine.....
