Supposedly off a 61 Buick, but I'm not sure if that's right, always appreciate the HAMB help, thanks There are also no numbers on this thing at all. Sent from my iPhone 4 using TJJ
I've been doing some more searching this morning and looking at a ton of pics, and still have not seen a wheel that is anywhere close to this one, still have no clue whats its off of
Can you take the center section out and look for any casting marks? I've never seen one before, it's cool looking though. I have a '61 Buick and it certainly doesn't have this wheel on it.
I've taken the center off and there are no numbers, letters, marks, or anything. Maybe it'll go up for sale....
take the cover off and take some pics of the horn switch, etc. That might help figure out what company made it, if it's off a car. I'm thinking it's not a big 3 wheel if it has no numbers on it, they're pretty good about having numbers on die castings.
I contacted a guy that does steering wheel restorations and he said it was an early '60's Buick from the small cars. His name is Dennis from qualityrestorations.com. Nice site and some nice steering wheels. I hope this helps.
I actually looked at that guys site and didn't see anything like mine, I was going to email him pics but I guess you beat me to it, thanks
No problem, you're welcome, I took one of the pics and e-mailed it to him. He was very helpful and really didn't have to respond but he did.
