I'm wanting to install a classic Grant wheel on my hot rod and I need to know what this steering wheel came out of to order the correct installation kit. Its a large shaft, tapered with no splines and has a keyway.

How about a closer up pic of the horn button, and of the steering gearbox? does it look like it's original for the car? what kind of car is it? I can't see little pictures very good

I will snap some new pics today. It does not look to be original for this 1950 chevy truck. I bought this hot rod truck half finished. Thanks.

Yes, the shaft is tapered. I like the wheel but its 18' and pinches my leg as I get in and out of the truck, Im 6-1 200 lbs and want to use a smaller classic metalflake wheel. Thanks for the help. Early Ford ?

  8. Or Willys/Overland. Willys was still running a taper shaft with a wheel like that clear up into the '60s.
