Western tin is incredible. Cars down here stored inside garages rust worse than that one, those left outdoors are long returned to the earth. Awesome that you got it, that car will have some of the best "save" pics of all time.
Great find!! AZ is one of the few states that a car can survive like that - here in the swamp (LA) it would have been part of the mud. Have fun with it!
Yes, Ron has many beads stashed to keep his wifes family happy. Good find, thank you for giving me the honor of lifting it off the trailer.
Wow!!! That's cool. It's guy's like us who see the potential in something like that. The rest of the world would just see an old junker that's good for traget practice. Nice save. Thumbs up & good luck.
Usually when I find a car like this or the other ones that I have done in the past we name them asap. This one was found in a area that really does not have any cool names or locations that are close to the area where the car was found. Adam from Industrial Chassis who helped me get the car out says we should name in Cliffhanger since it was almost a cliff like area that we pulled the car out. I will start a new post and see what we all here on the HAMB can come up with.
great .. you displaced the Gila Monster and Scorpion ecosystem.. Nice job guys ...really, I want to see pics of this one when its done!! Please Keep progress posted.
Nice save Ron!! Me and ratrodray have seen alot of cars like that while out exploring southern Arizona. Nice to see sombody cool bringin' annother one back!
Well done Ron. As you know you gotta chase these things and make them happen. So many guys dont follow up. Im waiting on photos of a '34 tonight that's a similar situation. Looking fwd to the build.
Can you register it before you start putting money into it? If a name came up after its done, and they want it back, then what?
See the begining of this post. Here is the current build thread http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=300942&showall=1
