A new re-mastered copy of American Graffiti has been delivered to Australia and will make it's way around the country to screen at Drive-ins.

The Dromana Drive-in in Victoria was the first to screen it (I believe). The organisers did a great job in replicating the Ol Skhool Drive-in era starting off with some period Cartoons and News Reels. What was a glorious sunny afternoon turned to shit just as the main feature started. It started to rain and didn't let up all throughout the film.... what a Shitter.

There were very few Hamb friendly Rods but plenty of Big American Iron.... Here is a selection of the cars that were there.<O:p

I was hoping to get some Arty pics whilst AG was playing, but my camera and rain do not make for a good mix.

<O:pIf anyone has more pics they’d like to ad, go right ahead.

  8. Very nice collection of cars. Stiil looks like a good time despite the rain. I would like to see some pics with the movie playing in the background.

Now I know where all of our old iron is going. If our guys keep selling our classic cars to you guys in Austalia, New Zealand and Sweden I am going to have to move there.

I'll have to check out what land and houses are going for.

Drive in Looked like a good time and thanks for sharing.

  17. Nice pics JT - looks like a good turnout !! Had my sis` 40th so it was a no show for me. And you're right - it was a killer day /arvo only to watch it turn to shit late in the day, what a shame.
