I am thrilled about the beautiful job he did chrome plating my potmetal 51 Merc accessory steering wheel horn ring. It's flawless. Thank you, Josh.
mmmmmm chrome..... That little piece got chromed 3 times if I can remember correctly. I kept finding something wrong with it. I'm glad you are happy and thanks for posting!
Josh....can we send parts to you for estimates or how do you prefer to do that? I have some '41 ford pu parts to refinish. In particular the front hood waterfall.
josh, i'd like to know, how much would it cost to have ALL the chrome/stainless on a 1958 buick station wagon replated/refinished! LOL probably 6 figures!
To get an exact price, I need the parts in my hand, but to get an accurate estimate, send the best pics you can get w/size reference to [email protected] Mention that Josh needs to see it. To answer the question about the buick wagon. First of all I want it. I like 4dr HTs, including wagons. My guess is 20K for everything, interior and all. The condition of the parts determines a lot too. I could make it 6 figures if you are interested, lol.
Josh, is it better to get everything plated all at once or, is it fine to plate a few pieces here and there. Is there a big price difference getting everything plated at one time?
Again, Thank you very much Josh. I couldn't be happier as the car you are helping me with is very special. I will be sending you (11) 1953 Desoto grille teeth for your expert application of your plating skills. Will call your office.
It doesn't make a bit of difference to me, as every part has to be handled on its own depending on it's individual needs anyways. The only discount is when doing small production runs of the same parts in the same condition. That's when I can cut down on time. many of my new customers will send a few small parts first to make sure they like what we do, then after being pleased, unload on us. Many others will have parts plated in waves as funds allow. I don't mind at all. 19Fordy, I look forward to the grill teeth, it's been a while since I've done some of them. We have gotten busier since the holidays ended, so it may be a little longer lead time. The spring push is coming soon...
Ive been watching your work through various threads Josh....beautiful stuff man...Ive done chrome prep, so i know your pain haha
Yeah it's not a common skill, that's for sure. I like to think it makes me special. Today I polished out a pair of rear bumpers for a 58-60 vette with turndowns. I'm ready to go home, lol.
Hi Josh- Do you do lots of little stuff like radio faces, knobs and buttons? Im gonna get some pictures of some stuff together and try to get some rough estimates from you. Been looking for a good plater for radio parts. Ive been through 3 different shops in the last 2 years. 2 started good, but then the quality went real bad. first one was bad from the start. bubbles in chrome, not fully chromed, textures where there shouldnt have been any. I'll Be in touch!
More props for Josh, I sent him a bunch of miscellaneous parts, windshield posts, chassis parts, etc. he told me about 5 to 6 weeks for the job and I got my parts exactly when he told me. And they look great. Now if I can only get my ass going and get the roadster finished so I can bolt the nice shiny stuff on. Thanks Josh
