I took a lot of pictures I wanted to share here. There about 450 I put on my site and here is a link instead of posting them all here. http://www.crablogic.com/starbird2011.htm Enjoy! CRAB
Thanks for covering this show. You spent much time and effort, creating pretty good pics. Glad you got a shot of Doc Parson's little green T bucket. It is one of the most Traditionall built cars one will ever see. Doc was a sprint car racer and started gathering parts for his car in 1958. He had trouple with the Halibrand wheels holding air, and had to have them coated. Seemed air would seep through the pores in the magnesium. And, talk about drifing. Doc and his wife drove it from Tulsa area where they reside to Florida, Then to Los Angeles, and all over the country. It does get trailerde from time to time. This little car has been touring since 2000.
I KNEW there had to be other cars at that show besides black square bodied cars...glad to see someone else looks at (and shoots pix of) other stuff besides boring square-bodied cars... Thanx for the pics... R-
I figured you'd show up on this thread... Variety certainly makes MY world go 'round...and so does color...!!! R-
We generally try to keep any documentation of something like this existing around here on the down low. Kind of like pics of the inbred cousins...
