Yup several of the cars in the video are HAMB car's or at least lurk here. I think it's great, it's a joke at a very goofy time and if anyone thinks the production is bad, go back and watch some reruns of 80's shows, prime time didn't have much on this show!
Actually its better than watching Boyd and Doo wayne in some late minute thrash.Although that Candy Heart kind of makes me want to touch myself.
Yes, the 80's TOTALLY sucked...Except for excessive cocaine abuse by rockstars...Or was that a product of the 70's?
I was just thinking that the whole point was to be cheesy on purpose, Sure that's an easy conclusion to come to. In a way this movie is sort of a Rat Rod film of differnt nostalgic stereotypes. Like Rat Rods if there are more than one the novelty wears off and we tire quickly and start to hate it. FWIW, I like it, but if more pop up I will hate them and call them stupid..... Jeff
I just watched it, not knowing until now whether it was for real from the 80's or recently made. Now that I know what it is, I can say it's an hilarious punch in the gut to that stupid period of time. Nice touch, made in Michigan. Still, I could only stand watching about two minutes. As satire though, it's way better than the last 20 years of SNL have been.
Having spent all of my teenage years and early 20s in the 80s, the vid brought it all back like bad seafood! I'm still trying to recover. Thanks for the H.A.M.B. to keep me stable.
i thought it was funny..campy,, making fun of bad 80s TV ,bad old rod rod movies,........dont take it too serious.......hell its no worse than the fake drama filled car tv shows on now,.just laugh at it.. and enjoy the cars...
Its Reno 911 for Hot Rods! And the 80s weren't all that bad, well except for Heartbeat graphics and tubs on everything............
i cracked up at the end of episode 2 when they said " is jimmy jammer fucked? " that was the best part of both episodes and it was in the credits!
Hey everybody. Thanks so much for viewing our goofy ass web series! I was one of the writers, a producer, and the cinematographer on the web series. It's great to see some honest feedback for better or worse. A little about the series: It was shot over 6 days in Muskegon, MI. The cars are all courtesy of the rad dudes in The Relix MC/CC out of Grand Rapids, MI (can't say enough good things about those fellas and their help on this!). There are only 3 episodes and there will only be 3 episodes. It's come to my attention that you guys are all watching the episodes on a vimeo account that only has the first 2... Just thought I would let you all know that you can view the last episode (#3, and my personal fav) at www.hotrodhearts.net There are also production photos that show more of the cars. Also, we are on facebook at http://www.facebook.com/pages/HOT-ROD-HEARTS/131447071746 where you can "like" us and see more photos, etc. Again, thanks to all of you for viewing and your honest feedback. Rock & Roll. Glad some people out there are watching! -Andrew
Where can I get as copy of the sound track. I wanna play Hot Rod Hearts when I'm cruising down the road. hahahaha WTF!
I'm pretty sure you can buy the track off of iTunes for like .99 cents... It's by a guy named Robbie Dupree and is called "Hot Rod Hearts". In fact, hilarious as it is, the track "Hot Rod Hearts" was one of the few .69 cent purchases on iTunes a while back... it's that cheesy.
Aww man, I even had one of those denim jackets back in the 80s!! I was a teen in the 80s, thats about how I remember it.......... but then again I vowed to forget that decade so my memory may be a little off. Laughed my arse off though. Doc. PS, You guys been playing too much Grand Theft Auto................
Yeah that was filmed here in Michigan and yes most of the cars used in the movie are from the Relix c.c/m.c
