I just recieved a SBC tack drive Grant Flamethrower that was supossed to be complete and in good working condition. After inspection I find that the drive gear inside the drive adapter is missing. It sure looks like Spalding/Grant used the GM Corvette tack drive adapter and drive. Anyone know where I can get a pic or better yet the acual drive gear?
    Thanks

Here you go. Three pieces. The one you have, the gear, and the back piece which is just a plug to fill the back side of the hole.

No those are not for sale they go to the distributor that I have.

Just thought the pictures might help you figure out it they are from a Corvette or not. I'm sure the gear was probably some readily available part at the time but I'm not sure what.

I'm sure somebody on here will know.

The back piece is just a plug.

You could probably make one out of a bolt and some steel spacers, if you're not to picky. Local machine shop could make you one if you are. I have had similar things done at local machine shops, usually in the $35.00 range.

Can't say about the gear. Good luck!

Found them on the Corvette forum, hoping they are one in the same!

Back to the drawing board, by comparing the pic's above it looks like they are of opposite drive angles ...............................
