This one always tickles me:
when you convert "three on the tree" to a floor shift, it is now
"Three by the Knee"....

 

Did/does anyone apart from Aussies and Kiwis say "donk" for engine?

 

Donk in the US is a ridiculous car with huge wheels, driven by 'urban doper types'.

Scatter = Have the major parts exit whatever mechanical assembly they came from

Hang a Blanket Behind it = statement of no confidence in some mechanical assembly usually engine, but can be other, ie stock trans from a 4 popper with a rat transplant

Hang a Magnet from the Back Bumper = see abbove

Cruising the Gut = Cruising your preferred area

Main Drag = Your prefered cruisng area or the main street of the town, if that's your favorite place

 

You're an old timer, if you remember when go karts took up 80% of the space in Rod and Custom.
