These people have my t.c.i. Chassis and 5,000 in cash, they altered the agreement and claimed i agreed, they have milked me for 1,000s, i filed legal action so now they are suing me for 10,000 for backing out, a customer in atlanta has the same problem with davviki, to make matters worse i have learned from the city of kankakee il. Where davviki is located that they are under investigation for living in a garage, if anyone can come forward as a witness in my case please call 815-540-3404 i am a hard working long time car lover who has got involved with the dark side.

SOunds like you need to pray they dont file bankrup thenyou loose all the money. Just hand this happen to a friend of mine with a ot car.He got the car back and a bunch of boxes of parts that dont even go to the car.

I am glad I found out its against the law to live in a garage, I wonder about a dawg house?

or better yet the house I live in has an attached garage and I have some parts in the house. Am I going to get busted? Will one of you fellas bail me out?

 

When living in a garage is outlawed, only outlaws will live in garages (well, outlaws and guys who get thrown out of the house for using the good dishtowels to get that greasy crap off their knuckles). Oh, and garage cats, garage cats will be outlaws, but only the ones who don't come in the house. Those cats will get a special dispensation from the gub'ment, allowing for them to live where they want, as they are indigenous to the garage regions.

I don't have a dog so I can't comment on the whole doghouse/residence issue, but around here if you don't have a double lot you cannot have two residences on the same property, unless it's listed as mutiple use. Therefore your doghouse should be by the road, preferably in the right-of-way or utility corridor.

Okay, please, PU-LEEZE post some tech porkybeaner, I can't take listening to myself any longer... the threads this week have ranged from sublime to bizarre, and not in the usual good way either.

Plus, my socks are still wet, and now I've got this funky skin thing going on between my toes, it's scary and I don't like it.

Actually Pork, there could be some truth to "not legal to live in a garage". I knew of a couple (husband-wife) that ran a chassis shop out of an industrial unit. The did live in the unit, but apparently it was not legal for them to do so. They installed a shower (for "clean up after work") and a kitchentte (for "breaks and lunches") and used a pull out couch for their bed.

I think the phrase "not legal to live in a garage" does not always apply BUT if the garage/shop is not zoned for it, it actually is illegal.

 

I lived in a warehouse once in Redwood City with a bunch of other scooter bums. The rent was cheap after we divided it all up like about 15 bucks a month.

I don't know if it was legal but I think the establishment like it because it kept us away from the stand up citizens.

My plan after I win the lottery is to first,have a garage that'll make the NASCAR teams jealous,and live in the coolest vintage Airstream,in the garage.Shouldn't have any trouble with living in the garage,it'll be surrounded by a moat,electric fences,security guards with guns ( I figure all my friends will want jobs ),and whatever else it takes to keep all my ex's away from my lottery winnings.

Wish I could "live" in my garage. Wife won't even let me out there right now ... too much stuff needs doing inside the house. Oh, and before the "grow some balls" comments start flying, i actually DO have a rather large set of balls ... unfortunately the wife keeps them in her purse.

To fuel the rumors, I heard this guy has changed names and locations several times over the years and is pretty shifty. I don't know why the show promoters let him in. Sorry to hear about your problem, but if you have the receipts you lawyer should be able to nail that roach to the wall. Gary

 

There's an open thread right now on Streetrodding.com right now about the piss poor quality of the Davviki product. A poster reported the body he received had 137 holes in it. You'd probably be complaining worse had you received their body.

 

WHAT IF: You moved the items in the garage into the house? Would that make your house a garage and if so would it still be illegal to live in the garage if it was originally your house? My wife sez my garage is cleaner than the house (and my garage is a mess) so maybe I should live in the garage but I would need to check my local laws cause I dont want to break any more laws. Maybe I will do a tech week article on cleaning my garage?

 

If they produce street rod parts than I suppose a street rod site is a good place to bad mouth them.

wait... my garage is attached under my house... so whats that make it? a basement? or is the top floor the upper garage? if so, can I even live in my "house"? because it's part of the garage... or can I live in the "garage" since it's part of the house?

This is about davviki (formerly Heritage), I have seen several similar posts on 3 other sites (google), but not a single picture. Instead of bitchin' about it to get our attention, show us sumthin' and get our support.
