Seriously, I look at a ton of cars for a living, and this one winds me up... The exhaust alone is the bee's knees.... and the dash, and the interior.... Fark.

 

tis a great example of craftmanship and class, from concept to completion, and great to see the affirmation Steve offered you by believing, and putting his money where it counts, great for you, and for him, and for us as rodders being able to see your dream fullfilled.

That video is awesome, would love to see a dragrace between this car and the Take-out T...that would be awesome, and 'icing' on the cake.

Top stuff, now what's next?

This car is georgeous. The build quality is first class and the icing on the cake has got to be that video. BITCHIN!

 

The boss is away and I've just spent the last hour or so reading this thread. Like everyone else says - awesome. Amazing details, great attention to detail, stance and the sound is the icing on the cake. I'm looking forward to your next build already.

 

Are the caps open on the headers during the video?

The car sounds and looks incredible. You, Sean and everyone involved did an incredible job.

 

The caps are on the headers, and the sound is coming through the 2" Porter Mufflers.

Congratulations on getting to drive the Texas Playboy. Every time I see your work I'm absolutely amazed at the level of craftsmanship. I wish I had a 1/4 of your talent.

It's too bad I didn't think of this in Pomona, but the next time you show the Texas Playboy at an indoor show, it has to be shown with the driver's side up on two aluminum foil covered jack-stand, and the mirror out of the ladies room, like the Ala Kart back in '59.

Also, if I was you I would be demanding a re-vote for the Jalopy Journal award because you've clearly worked on the Texas Playboy the day after you got home, while Russ abandoned the Take-Out T in Sacramento on his way home.

 

I love that video. Damn - that makes me want to drive my car! Brian - that car is killer. Second only to your sweet '29 Hemi A Coupe.

Glad to see the car was driven in the Texas ice storm conditions. Like you said, it's just dirt, it will wash off. Not only did you build a nice period correct car, you built one you can get in and drive, regardless of the weather. Looking forward to seeing the car in person at the Texas Roundup in Austin. Outstanding build.

Another amazing work of art from Lord Bass! I love the Car and Roadmaster tail lights in the back I have set for my Dodge! I am going outside now to sit in it and make engine and burn out sounds and then cry!

 

Not only can this BASS guy screw 'n glue some pretty decent ol' hot rods together, but damned if he don't have a pretty good way with writin' all them words down into one pretty coherent and interesting explanation of just how he did it.
