Just mocking up before paint. Still have some body work. The doors are painted and in the basement! Doing the upholstery , seats, top and headliner ourselves. Jim
Looks great Jim! Did you ever get the answer about the trim on the rear windows (were you looking for pics of interior or exterior)?
Are you going to give it some "Fauxtina"? I think I read an article on Killbillet about how to do it with rattle cans... Man... am I asking for it or what? sorry, had a few beers.
OK so you're probably not going to like it but kind of a peach, coral color. Have the doors and cowl done. don't have the pictures here at work but will put them on later. Rear window trim: I found out there isn't any. Now my quest is the rear trim that holds the top down. The curves are so sharp that I don't think I can get a generic aluminum or something like it to work. Could use a picture but it seems nobody wants to take that one! By the way, I think it looks awesome like that but this is the wifes daily driver sooooo. (I guess I would like it shiny too) Jim
This is a mistake or something that happened when using majic chrome. I WILL BE USING IT THOUGH!! I think it looks pretty cool.
Almost like wrinkle-finish paint- looks good (was thinking about using wrinkle paint for the same purpose) !
I'm absolutely wild about that coral color. It reminds me of late '50s Ford and Dodge two-tone colors: salmon and charcoal. Dynamite combination, and someday I'll take that route.
Update. Finished the upholstery on the doors this weekend. The doors are COMPLETELY done! Not to bad for our 1st attempt. Also sending the gauge bezels to Dakota for gauges. Jim
Just regular waterproff "glorified pressed cardboard". Been in the living room for a couple of weeks, so the boss and I BOTH are happy. JIm
Damn I hate round stuff! (Not too fond of the straight either) Anyway, the fenders are done. Couple of runs but will buff them out. Dash is at Dakota Digital too. Should be back soon. Prob have to take the rest of the summer off from the car. Busy time for us. You never know though! Jim
Oops, had a couple of runs. Sanded two of them out and polished with no problem BUT I have to repaint the fender of the third. Busted through the paint. Good job for tonight. j
