That's what we were talking about Steve. Just back it up to the booth at the swapmeet, and dump it... haha.
    Or hauling actual scrap metal...

It's just a 3 yard box. You could probably get two on.

He actually already already has a good tire that matches the drivers front. Good point though:)

Uh, what motor is in that thing?

It was pretty common for it to be one of those overgrown y-blocks lincoln and mercury made?

That thing is a 4x4 so I doubt it.

  11. Chris, You and your dad could paint it Spokane County color, throw a logo on it,get a couple of vests, a couple of shovels and stand around looking like your doing something important. Should not be too hard to pull off.

  12. It would look way better if you scrapped that dump truck bed and put a gigantic take out box on the back. :D

A linkbelt? Oh heck no! You need a track loader with a split bucket, that's the only proper way to load an old hand like that one :D... or maybe one like these:

Sweet! I would swap the dump bed for a pick-up box and daily drive it.

Nice find, my understanding from my Ford Guru is that that grill was used on 1959 pickups and trucks and on 1960 trucks only, but it may have started as early as 58, I'll shoot apic to her to see.

That is a 58 only grill that is on it. It would be the same as 58 half ton. 59 had the same grill half ton and up. 60 had the same grill half ton and up.

So my Dad just bought a crankshaft grinder that weighs over 7,000lbs. I brought a 928 wheel loader home from work so we could get the crankshaft grinder in his shop. I thought it would be neat to get some pics with his dump truck.

That things f*ckin tough! I would love to drive that to my local quarry and see the look on people's faces.. You just never see too many period commercial trucks, especially in that shape.
