I've been umming & arring about selling my 30 coupe, I finally did it and bought a 48 Chevy Fleetline two days later. I'm in love again.

Nothing eases the pain of loss quicker than a new ride. Bought this one from Michigan she'll be on the water in a few weeks on her trip across the pond to Melbourne Australia.

Rat Bastad's to blame for inspiration, he's just bought himself a 47 Fleetmaster coupe that's almost to nice to sit in. Can't wait to cut some laps together in our fat fendered Chevys.

Thanks fellas for the positive comments.

Looking to soup up the straight six with a Fenton 2 x 1 intake and split exhaust headers, I wonder how much juice you can squeeze outta ine of these 235's? It's a later model '52 235 not the original 216. Never owned a six cylinder ride before, two cylinders less than what I'm used to.

I'm sure that I'll find out a bunch scopin' out the posts on the HAMB!

235 Chev is a great motor. that's going to be one sweet ride man. the 2 x 1's look cool but have a look on cliffords website too they have some really nice bits for 235's like 1 x 4 or 1 x 2's in kit form with split extractor/headers. there is heaps of options for these. Tom Langdon's stovebolt website has some good stuff too. I got the Electric Dizzy from him and i'd reccommend it. Looks nice, works a treat, easy to set up and you can get a coil to go in the traditional spot if you are after trad looks.

I drove around a tired 235 with a sticky lifter on LPG daily for 2 years. you cannot kill a 235. I've had nothing but good experiences with my 235 considering the abuse it's copped.

I dig the new ride man. really f*n cool. I like my rods supersized too :)

Damn Dude, you got a nice one. I have a custom 48 but you should have left that one in the states so I could have another one. Good luck and enjoy...

Chris, you've done it again! Another beautiful addition to the Wise Guys CC along with Rat Bastad's newly bought '47....... They should be landning around the same time too!

Exciting times. Can't wait to cut some laps with the Chebbies in a couple of months!

    Congrats!

My Dad had one when I was a kid, I spent many hours asleep on the rear package tray. I love those skirts! I want a set for my "ethnically-correct" 53 chevy pickup truck build <grin>.
