Right On......FINALLY...it took 18-pages...but...I was HOPING...IF I held on long enough...I would run across some pic's of a few Effie's sportin' some shiny WIRES!!!

We are starting on a '56...not a slant-cab but CLOSE ENOUGH...I just cannot believe that after almost 20-pages I only found ONE truck...

...:(...am I the only one interested in runnin' on wires???

I saw a few Red '56's....even a couple 2-tone Red-n-White '56's...but only one within the first 18-pages runnin' on these style of shiny shoes......too bad it did not have set of wide whites to go with 'em...

So many of these trucks put mine to shame... I gotta get busy... my 6 year old takes up most of my time when I'm not working; I need to put him to work! LOL

Yes spend time with that kid. They grow up was too fast!

  15. Mathew, don't feel bad, kids come first, I'm sure you well know. I didn't start my 56 until I was 50. Nice thing is, for long as it takes to build the body style never goes away. But when our kids grow up, they do:( and we still have the toy.
I sure wish my son was with me when I built mine.

I used a dropped axle, dropped tie-rod ends, dropped center tie-rod and mono-leafs.

Heres mine. Bought it off a member on here. Put bullet caps/lugs, chrome bumper moved back 2.5 inches/handles/mirrors and painted the interior gloss white.

She's been on here before,a few billion pages ago, but I thought I'd post up again with a few upgrades. New chrome smoothies, a set of vogues, some new, permanent mirrors that you can actually see shit out of as opposed to a set of Mickey Mouse ears (home-made five inch convex peeps) which you couldn't, reworked taillights idea and a set of semi-dummy spots just for shits and giggles.
