All original 24,000 mile 1957 Studebaker 289 out of a Packard that raced a train. All Studebaker with Paxton and intercooler 60's AFB on iron stock manifold. Went 159 mph.

Realized that you can't really see the engine in my photo since it's under the dash. So here's a shot before it was installed. All hand made Studebaker hipo stuff.
sweet little 283 but look at the size compared to the 303. and a scrape yard 67 289 that had mt valve covers, offy intake and roller rockers, and not the slightest ring groove.
Have had 427s and Cammers, but my all time favorite was my 312 Y-Block with the Ultra-Rare Bud Elhart "angled" valve covers( CA.'57), 6-Dueces with ribbed stacks and the ribbed valley pan. It was in my '56 Customized Vicky.
