More updates on 64cheb's motor....Pretty much all together, and all one color. In the earlier pics, the valvecovers were a darker GM Blue, but after some scraping, we found out the lower end and pan were Chevy Blue. Ended up going with the Chevy Blue.

He had also bought a newer Q-jet 4bbl stock intake, and we decided to keep the stock script valvecovers for an older look. So 64cheb's machinist bored a nice hole in an empty spot on the intake, the fill tube looks perfect and stock.

    Nice trucks everyone!

I am looking at getting my great grandpas 65 stepside from my cousin and I have always preferred fleetsides more. So my question is, are the beds interchangeable from step to fleet?

    Thanks in advance.

Hey whats up everyone Well its been quite a while since ive posted, but since ive been out of work ive had some time. This last week i pulled the 46 year old front springs out of the truck and replaced them with some new moog springs. I also found the correct lug nuts to put on my new wheels. I need some tires still but the rims look good.

I didn't realise that the 8 lug bolt pattern was the same as the newer trucks. Looks good.:D

View attachment 1226071 I gotta ask a C10 question...and I don't wanna mess with the thread... but you guys know all the answers.

It's raining here in sunny Southern California and I got a water leak that is coming in from some were under the driver's side dash. It's when the truck is sitting so it's not splash or from the door seals. I'm getting new carpet and having all the seats done so I don't want any water or rust issues. If you guys have any ideas please PM them to me so I don't blow up the thread. Thanks, Terry

PS here's a pic of the truck (posted before) so I don't look like a total ass for high jacking the tread.

It matched up perfectly I only paid 75 bucks for the rims and worn tires. I had to get some emery cloth and clean up the hub surface so the rim would go on with ease but other than that they were a perfect match

Windshield gasket. Mine leaks like a screen door, and the water builds up on top of the dash where I can see it--complete with bubbles from air pushing through between the sheetmetal and the gasket, and it also drips down behind the dash and drips on my shin/ankle while I'm driving.

No ice here, but it's getting down in the 20's tonight. Need to get my propane tank filled again. I have a dual burner heater in the shop.
