I usually can't post my car builds but were doing our best to go traditional this time.

    How we doing so far?

  5. I reserve judgment for better pictures and more progress.

  6. Did they have tinted windshields back in the day? haha just bustin ur balls...looks like a good start

  7. Lose the cowl lights.
No real performance enthusiast would jetison the bumpers, fenders, running boards and hood... but keep the cowl lights.

I would look at some different rear tyres, M/H pie crust slicks?

    Doc.

  10. flatties were kind of obsolete when those kind of wheels were available no?
But, it's your car...do whatever makes you happy. Who cares what the norm is.

I don't really think flatheads and zoomies are from the same era, but you might read my sig line. What era of traditional are you shooting for?

  12. Hmmm, Disc Brakes with 12 spokes, modern looking rear tires, tinted windshield, cowl lights and now "Zoomies" on a flathead. Not seeing much "traditional" there at this point.

Don't hide away, if you want a traditional car you are in the right place. Just ask a shit load of questions and duck a lot, we all need thick skin around here!

Don't give up on someday having a real traditional car. The one you are doing missed the mark a bit, but it looks like it would have tons of resale interest for decent money, "if" you get the bug to do one up with no excuses.

Just because it is not true traditional, that does not mean it does not belong on here. Keep posting progress

  17. don't worry about it man, I've been flamed a few times for stuff on here too. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger right? hahaha

I can hang but I don't want to go off topic. I have to much respect for the H.A.M.B.

I kinda new it was just some what traditional:D. I'm getting closer though.

I didn't say I didn't like it (except maybe the cowl lights, but different strokes), but to me it has a kind of mid to late 60's vibe to it. Could be wrong. Anyway you kind need to be careful of the nomenclature you use here.

ditch the cowl lights and drag radials.

    no flathead either. no zoomies.

I just killed all your ideas huh??!!!!

swap the rear tires to cheater slicks, add a V8 (SBC, early olds or Caddy.... Hemi??) and you're set.

Your car is not off topic for here IMO.

  25. I like where its at so far, hell, id even say keep the cowl lights just to be diffrent.
Gotter lose those rear tyres though.
I also think zoomies belong on drag cars only. my 3 cents.

It's almost pro-street looking with the rear tires tubbed. Really nice though.
