I'll be content with whatever wins. There isn't a loser in the bunch. My personal preferences are not always shared with the rest of the group but I voted. Any of them will spread the gospel well.

1, 3 or 7 for me. Kinda tired of seeing deuces all the time. There I said it.

Had to go with number 3 - just simple and clean plus excellent finish out.
But I'd pick 8 for a close second - I've always loved that RPU (wonder why?)

I am going with #1 just because of the overall wow factor of everything. A very close second would be the Bass built roadster(#4) it just screams traditional. It is an indoor show and over the top show car is what its all about so good luck take out T. Thanks, Jon.

Great to see Detonators pickup in there. Last years vote was so much easier for me. Number 1 this year, although Ganahl's Deuce was very close.

Tough decision....#3?, #4?, #8????? But in the end a few little little details like the tail light and exhaust ports, and that light blue paint won my heart. Numero tres it is, for me. Congrats to all the contenders.

#6 has my vote..the take out T is a close second..

  15. That was easy.... #1.

The fit an finish is right on. It's not even my style... and yet I love it.

So, I was down with #1., ...until I saw #9.

#9 is perfect, my style... I love it. I knew of that car before most had heard it was unearthed.... I was told to keep quiet, and did until the deal went down. Spoke with the new owner, nice guy, great car, lucky man!!!

But... he didn't build it, someone super cool did long ago. So I vote for #1 as that guy worked his butt off on that fine ride! Congrats to you...

Wow, I didn't even think there was going to be a Jalopy Journal award this year! I feel honored that a car I built is even in contention.

Here's the link to the build-up of "The Texas Playboy", Car #4, owned by Steve Ernst.

I think every car up for the award is fantastic! Thanks to Ryan and the panel for including a 'little guy from Texas.'

  28. Gah....

    all great cars.

For me its a toss up between Bass and the #1 purple T.

...and that '36 Ford is slick as well.....and I'm usually not a fan of '36's
