I never realized they tore up so many beautiful stock cars at Danbury. The racing must have been intense. I thought Weissglass was bad,.

The Orange 04 taken at Lebanon Valley was Corky Cookman. Corky ran Danbury then went to the Valley then to Nascar Mods, were he lost his life at Thompson Ct.

Corky ran the Valley, and Middletown briefly I believe, then came to Danbury.

Does anyone have an upper windshield patch panel for a 36 Chevy coupe? I need one to restore my Czarnecki car to its first iteration.
    Thanks

I am just learning how to post photos, so bear with me! Here is a shot of on of my all time favorites, Billy Sunderland from1972 at the Danbury Racearena! This was a Studebaker bodied modified. It was fluorescent orange with blue flames. Light years before Jeff Gordon made this color combination popular! Billy won two features this year.

Billy Sunderland's Opel Kadett bodied modified (There weren't many of those around!). I think the year was 1976 at the Racearena.

Believe it or not, Billy grooved that tire himself, and it lasted a complete season!

Great photos Fishburger. Keep 'em coming. Use Photoshop to resize them.
