Ok all you road trippers and long haulers. What do you consider as must haves for a long road trip?
    Here's my short list.
Lots of tunes & my sat radio
    Up to date map book
    Good spare tire
Propper jack & 2 small stands
Spare fan belt, cap & rotor, plugs, and a couple of long ignition wires
    Couple gallons of water
    Couple quarts of oil
    Couple pints of trans fluid
    Rags and waterless hand cleaner
    Blanket or sleeping bag
Bag of snacks and cooler with water and beverages
    A small toolkit
A chunk of 14 ga. automotive wire
    A variety of spare fuses

Anything else you like to have please chime in.

-Spare cigarette lighter thing (For the GPS)
    -Cell phone charger
    -Spare tank of water
-Spare altenator (I have a custom not a hot rod so you don't see my "Un-tradtional altenator!)
-Sleeping bag/pillow (You may have to sleep in your car)
    -Spare plugs
    -Spare oil filter
    -Spare u-joint

My traveling tool box is 70# and goes everywhere.
    Water
    sunflower seeds
    gloves
Carry on type bag with my drug store. change of clothes, digi camera, phone charger, toiletrys.
    Feather pillow
    jumper cables

I pretty much quit carry the parts store except when I have a part I know is failing and I have been too lazy to change. I do pack a bit more when I travel the Alcan. I've done that trip 6 times.

  9. add a can of starter fluid and an assortment of misc. hardware: nuts bolts wire ends etc.
