Look up the Rod & Custom Americruiser that Thom Taylor did with P-Wood over a Looooooong Weekend! It too started out as a 35 but 36 sheetmetal was swapped on and nice polished set of swap meet Americans (5Spokes) and that made for a sweeeet ride! Thom sold it about 7yrs ago, but I always loved the way that it sat. Great Find!

"California Rough" is in a class by itself. Great find, hope you keep the '35 grill and fenders, allways thought they look nicer than the '36's.

  4. Yeah! I've been lookin' at them ever since the guy offered it to me and I'm kinda diggin' the '35 look, you just don't see a lot of them around.

  5. I actually do have a 59AB complete in a crate that I built for someone that who picked it up, mild cam 3 5/16" bore. I may use it in this or there is always the possability of a Y-Block. ;)

Yes indeed ! Mild Custom ...Y-block power , spats and low in the rear ....

  7. My vote says get it. You must not have ever saw a rough car. Look around in here a little and see what a rough car looks like. Then you will be able to appreciate that car.

    Good start for a rod.
It's a 36 or later cowl, with battery box in fire wall.
Does the battery box look factory. 1935 & 36 ,battery under front seat,
Rear end is 1936 or later, 39 had juice brakes. The fenders from what i can see, look 36. 1935 's had a peak. Hope you got a rear step in bumper
with it. Harder to find than any other part.
    Good luck on the build

That looks pretty nice. Nicer than the one I just bought aside from the cowl "fix". Does it have a title? Does it have an extra title? ;)

What's the story on that one? Does it belong to someone? You bought it? For sale?

I love sedan deliveries. That's going to be one cool ride.
I got this fetish for 36 chev sedan deliveries. prolly because i like the ugly duckling Chev and have a sedan, but i love this one below. The stance, the height, everything about this car is headed in the right direction for my tastes:

Glad to see that someone else mentioned the Thom Taylor / Pete Eastwood Americruiser deal... Look in late '93 or early '94 Rod & Custom mags if you aren't aware of that one - Hands down one of my favorite beaters ever! Oh, keep looking for the '35 sheet metal for the front too...
