Welcome Frank from the Netherlands, Goeree Overflakkee I have another 52 Desoto here in Holland with a 276 Hemi in it (stock) You can see it in my avatar behind my 39 Mercury (okay there is not a lot to see of it but it's the yellow thing) Where are you from ? Groeten Hennie
That's a very nice car Frank, good luck with it and hopefully you will find a nice Hemi for it Groeten Hennie

Hello from Norway,I am also new here and have a stock club coupe with a 276 in it. I am also looking to lower it and was thinking about Eaton Detroit springs. Anyone with experience with them here? See you at A-Bombers in Sweden? Raymond
this is my first upload hope it works, I am in the market for a Fulton sun visor for this car anyone got one for sale? regards Raymond
Though a lot of the Keller-Era DeSotos are under-whelmingly styled, IMO, YOURS is one of the nicer bodies, lines-wise. If you're looking for ideas to mull over, you'll see each HAMBer has personal tastes. I offer mine, but it is YOUR car, so ultimately your choices will be what makes it exclusively your own creation and an expression of your personality, right? Me, I'd consider a different paint scheme. You might think about the midnight deep blue metalic, which was an actual enamel offering on this model originally. Just a thought. Also, I feel the front end could be dropped to give the car a bit of rake. Big choice but a moderate chop might make for a mean look -- moderate not crazy, I'm thinking up to six inches, though. Again, just my thought, but if you really want to dump the PowerMaster 6 and go with a Hemi, I'd stay in the DeSoto family -- but performance parts aren't as plentiful for DeS as for Chrysler. Are you thinking automatic or standard to back it up? Also Hemis are costly. Whether you buy one finished or rebuild one, you're probably going to be over $5 grand U.S., unless you luck into a find. Again, just some ideas for you to kick around. Again, welcome!
Welcome here also, I have already seen your car on the www.pre66.com forum I have a very similar body model. I'll be seeing you around, maybe next saturday at Summer Power Night?
