Customs Anybody Out There Drive a 48 Pontiac?? Pics Please!!

Hey Guys, call me crazy but i am considering trading my 50 Chevy for a 48 Pontiac Silver Streak. The poncho has been upgraded to a OHC 6 and 3 speed and was re-done sometime in the 80's. I am a huge fan of the fastback body style, and have always been a huge Pontiac freak so this could be the perfect deal. Any great advice or pics of these cars would be great, I have never even seen 1 in real life so any insite would be cool & Thanks!!!

My dad has one. It's not traditional though

 

One thing bothers me about these cars, and it's just my problem. I don't like how the doors and front fenders aren't level with each other. It just looks wrong. I like my body panels all in the same plane. Every one of these I've ever seen the front edge of the door is "recessed" from the front fender. I guess you have to do it for clearance so that the door will open. Bugs me.
