Good to see you using an unboxed frame. I wonder how many hot rods were put together "back in the day"without boxing the frame? Hundreds I'd venture. I've got one of the first run of Brookville roadster bodies that I bought unassembled and I'm going for something similar to what you've built here. Only this one will have a flathead and open drive banjo rear to start. Then, eventually, an adaptor to hook up a SBC just like many that were converted after Chevy came out with it's Boiler Beater:)
I want to relive having a flathead powered hot rod like the '29av8 I had in high school and then get to see the difference an overhead conversion would have been like in the late 50's.

Bob Wills is still the king. Glad you threw that vid in...

What a beautiful car. I really like the tri-y style exhaust.

What a beautiful car! Love the name, especially that my grandfather played guitar with Bob Wills and The Texas Play Boys. I have heard great storie about them. The great part he is my grandfather is still alive and kicking and remembering the good old days on the road.

  30. Well Brian, I did have a build thread going, but I have decided to delete it after seeing this. Outstanding as always. Love that detail on the exhaust. Killer stuff.
