My 59 has a 302, but you don't really want to look at it. Spray bombed orange-ish in the truck so it dripped down the rusty headers. Erson chrome valve covers and triangle foam Edelbrock air cleaners are still cool, right?

What's the story on your oil pan? Wouldn't a standard front sump Ford pan fit without a modification? Just curious.

I kept the stock ford suspension but used Fatman dropped uprights and steering arms. We then put a Pontiac Sunbird rack in the car , again using Fatman hardware. The steering linkage was not clearing the pan so we modded it. We also had dropped the engine 2 inches from its original height so we could make the tunnel narrower. Hence the interference.

My 23-T had a new 271 hp 289 ci....added right from the start with a Melling RY9B camshaft topped off with a Ford tri-power driving into a C4 automatic. .....One of the oldest 'T`s in Southern Michigan...considered by many as belonging to Jerry Dodson becaause he`s had it for about 90% of its total existance.Bruce Farrow a Ford engineer and Bill Bowman {now a Road Knight} put it together back in 1964....all I told Bruce was to paint it 'Poppy Red and call me when ready....How about 11.83 at 119 mph, Milan Michigan at a all Ford meet by who else, 'Jerry Dodson. He just took the windshield off and that was the result, and the quickest roadster at the meet...{Melling RY9B remember}.....

Took a 5.0 from a Mustang GT and dialed it back to 302 stuff. Cobra repro dual intake. Yeah, it would run quicker with a single 4 bbl. but I like it.
Re-worked T-5 is good-n-tight' 1st-4th. Hell, it's just fun to run and I love it when guys go, "Oh, you put a FORD in it", hah!

Okay- how easy would it be to take an injected 5.0 and put it into a '82 Mercury Cougar wagon? Dropping it in should be easy, I wonder about the wiring harness and such.

i`m running a 5.0l and complete powertrain out of an `89 crown vic, will probably try and build some type of cover to hide the efi intake, i was thinking of building a fiberglass cover that would look something like a cadillac air filter housing.

I installed a 5.0 HO in my 50 Ford box. Its a 1987 Mustang engine from a wrecked stang. Insurance Co. paid me for towing and storing it then gave it to me. I just got it fired up about a week ago. The engine has been setting in the box frame for near ten years . Day one stock, hope it runs awhile.
