I got an old stool from work, the seat wasn't any good. Then I found an old tractor seat behind the barn. I sand blasted it and gave a coat of yellow primer. I also bought it a set of new wheels. So here is the deal. I see a lot of real neat oldschool stuff in here, so I was wondering if anyone had some ideas of how to decorate it? Any ideas? I was thinking of painting it black or red. My norwenglish might not be the best thou' ;)

I don't know what you call it but it looks good and it looks comfortable as one would be without padding on it. And damm. I think I just hauled one of those bases off for scrap because I couldn't figure out what to do with it and I was tired of moving it around in the shed.

But more on that high speed welding cart with the alloy's and slicks.

Well the lower half is black, that means you HAVE to have red wheels on it....

Next week, we'll be discussing curtains and we'll give recipes for crustless little cucumber tea sandwiches. Hot rods, people!

    Nice work,though.

I have seen people decorationg everything from bikes and rods to toilet seats and trash cans in the art archives, so I thougt this where the place to get some inspiration. I was thinking in the ways of pinstriping, eyeballs, flames etc. I was not thinking of decorating it with flowers, silly little hearts, and butterflyes!

    Hey G,
I should've contributed constructively to your thread!

    "STOOL SAMPLES?"
Maybe an engine turned aluminum back for your stool? (Careful,it's infectious. You'll turn everything that'll fit on the drill press plate.)

Pinstripes on a panel with a name or funny message?

A cup(beer, belch!) holder on one side in a cool way?

Maybe a magazine rack,so when you're nurturing a "browncapper' you can muster it up then head to the head?

A shelf under it to hold some tools if you're doing some bodywork/detailing tires/wheels,or ? sitting down.

You'd better make a mate to your stool, friends tend to congregate in garages?

Best of luck with your stool.

You could use some of the spray foam in a can. Paint it brown then maybe add some sparkles and candy corn.

Surprise no one else has chimed in with this !!!

The best way to decorate that seat (or any for that matter) is with a naked blondie sitting on it !!!!

  23. Without a doubt: Pinstripe the seat & upright post. How 'bout some wide whites on the wheels?
