Here are a couple project cars I have that I just haven't had th opportunity to dive into yet... these to me are both patina. I like the old painted decal on the dodge door it is my favorite part about this truck

The owner told me this was the way he found the body? Real patina or not... I like it.

A question to ponder here. If that is a harry westergard car,. Would he have left it in that state? I think not, That is a great car that deserves a paint job to match.. I love it though either way

i did the patina and lettering on this chevelle for a friend of mine. there ain't nothing special about this car. he just sold it for a large amount of money, because the new owner loved the weathered look.

I will concentrate on getting the car mechanically sound so I can DRIVE it..and go with the "patina" I'm left with till I can afford do something about it...

  18. My little brother Gawd rest his soul had a '39 Chebby Sedan that he captured when we were kids and took apart. He managed to keep everything in pretty good shape except for the drivers door. For some reason he left it out in a field near his house and a White Oak tree Grew up through the rolled down window.

I helped him cut the tree down the year before last so he could start putting the car together for his son. Lots of cussing and shoving befor we got done but we managed to get it down without destroying the door.

Patina, pagina who gives a shit what you think. I like pagina myself.

  23. In the second grade there was a girl in my class named Bagina. She told her name on the first day of school and the teacher said, you mean Virginia don't you? And she said, "No its Bagina, B-A-G-I-N-A." Funny the things that stick in your mind.

Has nothing to do with Patina but its a true story. Patina now that would be a good name for a girl.

Patina is original color paint that has deteriorated, from rust or other natural causes. No rot though.

I dig the way the '57 looks! I may not have opted for the air bags or chain steering wheel, but to each his own. This car has a lot of character and it doesn't look like every other car. Very cool.

worn ,cracked and faded paint, rock chips, dull chrome and aluminum from normal driving and dry storage is one thing but rust and such is just plain neglect. You guys get your shorts in a twist when some old guy won't sell a car because you think its just rotting away .When people drive a car or truck that is in the same shape every body loves the patina but in truth its still rotting away.

  29. Many people like the patina on my Olds, but I HATE it. The car deserves better. It'll get there...

30 year old paint, still shiny but with the small scrapes chips and dings from 10 seasons of racing.
