The garage with the checkered floor is my dads at the house. It is 42' x 28', he parks the daily drivers on one side and the 66' Nova SS and 65' Vette Roadster along with the bikes on the otherside. The other garage shown in the picture of the the car being painted is where the real work happens. That is my dads hobby shop, 40' x 30' pole barn. I wish I had the hobby shop down here in vegas. Maybe I could get something done.

  6. Great photo thread man!~

Clyde, if you are interested, we are building an LSR car. Search Spirit of South Dakota. You and your dad are welcome to join in if you like. I know Darrin would have loved the idea of a bunch of folks from across the state tackling Bonneville. Wish I had him involved. If you have any token, something that we can include in the car, even a picture, we would like to take Darrin 200.

What a Great tribute to Darrin. Nice work. I'm sure he would have been very proud of the final outcome of the project.

Trent, if you need any parts that may be in the collection of parts that Darrin had collected. You are more than welcome, that could be the token to include in the car. PM me and I could get you in touch with my dad.

The only thing that could have topped the nail head off better, would have been 3x2. But my brother was thrifty and the 2x4 set up was cheaper.

  15. Clyde, saw Darrins car at the Indoor show today. Looks good, I know he is looking down on it from the Heavens with a smile. Looked for your dad to say hi but he was not around.
