The show is getting closer by the day and we are all getting pretty excited about it. It's time to announce the invited guests for the Customs Then and Now "Meet & Greet". We are still waiting on several more confirmations, and they will be added to the list as we receive them, but in the mean time, here is who you can expect to be sitting at the meet and greet table signing autographs, shaking hands, kissing babies and talking customs! Don't forget people...bring your memorabilia, books, magazines or whatever to get autographed! (and a fresh Sharpie)

i just got the best news ever today! im heading over with my family to look at a car for my dad! if passports and paperwork get sorted quickly i should be in california in time for the show!!

 

Kustoms Illustrated .....

It would be very fitting to invite Arthur Bentas to the Meet & Great. Arthur designed and hand built the Raven (1959 NHRA National Champion Custom Car). At almost 89 years old, Arthur will be making he trip to GNRS and then to the opening of the Raven display at the Petersen on Monday following the show.

As the historical custodian of the Raven, and as a dear friend of Arthur, I would appreciate your consideration.

Hi Rick,

Sometime on Monday. I just don't know yet. The Petersen is normally closed on Mondays but because we will all be there on Monday, including Arthur and his brother Chuck they will be opening up for us. I probably will not know all of the details until we arrive in CA on the 26th.

I'll be hanging out with the Raven, as will Arthur, quite a bit while at the GNRS. Stop by ... we'll know more then about the Petersen schedule. I am sure the more the merrier.

Mike was invited, however do to certain circumstances, he could not make it.

We are still waiting on confirmation from others and they will be annouced and listed as they are confirmed.

BTW, the invited guests were decided by a panel of GNRS Staff Members, not just one person.
