I have a question that just popped up in my mind. Hopefully, someone here could provide an answer.

The first oval track race I attended was back in 1957, at a small, somewhat obscure dirt track located somewhere between New Holland and Lancaster, PA. My family lived in New Holland at the time, and the local garage sponsored a car that raced there.

Would anybody have any idea of what track I'm referring to? If so, is it still in operation? THANKS!!

this is not the car I have. This would be the 1st of 3 Czarnecki Bros cars. The 2nd one had a single reversed scoop on the roof. The third, and final coupe has the two reversed scoops on the roof. This is the car that I am currently restoring.

Yes,there was a track in Lancaster,Pa and also in Ephrata,Pa in the late 50's early 60's.Neither are in operation today. There is a book available on closed raceways in Pa.I'll try to find the name of the book.QUOTE=leadfoot4;6081307]I have a question that just popped up in my mind. Here's a link to aerial photos of Lancaster speedway.Go to Penn Pilot Aerial Photos for Pa.....they have aerial shots from the late 50's and you can see the track.I found this info on the Williams Grove speedway message board under racing in the past.QUOTE=twistafatty;6085077]Yes,there was a track in Lancaster,Pa and also in Ephrata,Pa in the late 50's early 60's.Neither are in operation today. There is a book available on deceased raceways in Pa.I'll try to find the name of the book.QUOTE=leadfoot4;6081307]I have a question that just popped up in my mind. do you have any pictures of the 2nd car, the one with the one single scoop on it? I hear that there is a photo around that shows both that car and mine together. I would love to get a copy of this. Would you know how I could possibly get in touch with Jake? I know he lives in the Springfield MA area. Thanks
