    looks like you are getting close to needing that S10 front clip..let me know if you are still heading that way and I'll start cuttin, wanna borrow my sparking box?..just to futher complicate things I had a buddy offer me a late model Mustang Cobra drivetrain, OHC aluminum block ,five speed, for $1500 not bad eh?....

    Awesome story! and I sure hope when my wife and I have kids they end up as in to hot rods as your kids are. Good luck on the build, and by the looks of how much work you guys are getting done right now the car will be done waaayyy before he can "legally" drive it haha

    not really.got a line on a bunch of parts to look at this week.Still in deconstruction mode,just looking for replacement parts.Ill keep ya posted

    Buying a complete chassis from a local Hamb'er.Its 1950, its complete and really solid.The really great part is its already set up for a 302 V8,which is what we have for the car.The original chassis we'll keep, but its going to need sandblasting and rust repair in a number of places.We'll start on it after Jack's shoe box is ready and start on Frank's(he's four now):DWe also picked up a much better decklid and rear bumper.I'll post pics soon

    Wow. The only shoebox I had when I was 4 years old was the one my tennis shoes came in. I think we ought to nominate Javier for Dad of the Year.

    [​IMG]Jacks new Chassis
    Its out from under a 1950 coupe.Its super solid and lowered all the way around.The back has been lowered with blocks and the front has been stepped up to lower it 4 to 5 inches.Clean it up and Por15 and were in business

    Not sure..they are a little wider than stock 15's i believe.Good thing is they hold air:D

    thanks guy for the nice words...its a slow process,but we're loving it!....oh yeah we got a 1950 deck lid thats in near perfect shape,as well as 1950 hinges.
