  11. Very cool! I've loved that car since the first pictures of it were posted. As I mentioned in the past, the front sheetmetal (grille, headlights etc) flow perfectly. You got it dead on!

The engine compartment looks rad. Beautiful metal work. And I like the moving vent parts!

Thank you all for the encouraging words. Means a lot. I'm hoping that it might be good enough for TRJ when it's done. Wonder how that works? Still miles to go before I sleep.

Cool radiator louvers. They don't have a practical use, do they?

That's some nice metal work. The electric shutters on the radiator may be a bit over the top but should win some indoor show points if you show it that way.

Those louvers are pretty trick. I know Chevy is using something like that on the new Cruze "Eco" model to reduce drag at cruising speed. Supposedly gives them another 1mpg, so based on that you could say this Merc is "green".

    That Merc is absolutely killer.

  26. if the remainder is as neat as that engine bay, then extremely wow.......

appreciate the effort for those louvres, although the 'gimiky' nature of it I think takes away from the class act of the design and metal work involved, but again, the car is all class, especially with that engine in there. Look forward to seeing more

    Cheers,
