I heard rumor's (emails that were forwarded) that the Rudy 1940 Mercury coupe was making it's debut @ the Motorama and I can't find any pictures of it. I have been watching this on Rudy's website get built over the last couple (?) of years. This car looks like it is going to be raising the bar for a while. Just wondering if it was there........or is it a different color now? Chris
I saw the car in his shop a few months ago and was sure it would be done by now. That show would have been perfect for it. I am starting to think it won't be shown.
I too would like to see this car. I cant explain how much I would like to see this car done. Oh man I love these Mercs..
I have a few images of the car that were sent to me, but I don't have permission to post. I'll see if I can't get that permission... Rudy is on another level... So damned talented. These were on Google image search, so I guess they are fair game.
Rudy was a stop on the 1940 Ford club tour of shops. No one was taking photos that I saw. His shop is like a clean room at a computer factory.
Looks like the car is on the HOP-UP cover this month....DAMN!!!.........Looking forward to pix later this month the GNRS. http://www.hopupmag.com/
From those pictures, You will be able to meet me at the GNRS! I will be the guy standing next to this car with my eyes glazed over, and drool dripping from my mouth.....
That's it, I might as well just stop building cars altogether. The bar has been raised and then sent to the moon. Maybe I'll try pottery?
