Mykes car is amazing, had the opportunity when he lived in New Hampshire to see that car often and even a good cruise, it is top of the food chain.
that car belongs to ironbuyer, of Amocat Speed Emporium fame I'm sure if you did a search you would find more pictures of it here's another really short clip of it sitting idling
did I post this clip already? dunno, sorry if I did but, here it is again this was taken at Amocat Speed Emporium a few years ago, open house '06?
Love the Amocat roadster! One of my favorites! Sounds awesome! It was in Rod and Kulture a few issues back. I'll have to look and see what cam it was running, I can't remember right off hand...
just looked, Amocat roadster, issue 19 Rod & Kulture. All it says about the cam is its an original ISKY Jr. Awesome car!
Wow, I feel breathless after wading through all these pages, such inspiration!! wow! I have a new love for 33 roadsters! Thanks Sinister Speed!
Until someone comes out with a decent repro for $300. I can't believe it would be that hard to do for someone with the right tooling. Rich
wow, nice video! my wife was already throwing a fit! I love it!! love those kinds of reactions...and I love the roadster!
Harley Gene The problem here is that we (my view of the thread) are talking about mostly street used hot rods of this era. Street or multi-purpose. But not strict race cars. To race a street car at the lakes doesn't mean it's a strict race car. I think the pics in your asking posts #1101 and #1102 are nothing but race cars. The other two looks really wild and fits great. The line is sometimes thin, I agree. But there is a difference in body type and style. Just my 2 cents, nothing more...
This is a wicked thread guys keep the pics and stories coming. HG your contributions are much appreciated and for my part are very relevent. Lets not get caught up on detail and just enjoy an era most of us will only experience through these pages. As I've been told by many a rodder, if it looks right it is right and all these pics fit.
that #2 roadster looks like it has a super rare 33/34 roadster pickup cowl mated to a '33 chevy door and quarters
Nice collection HG! Keep em coming. I am diggin this Louie Spc one with the banger and the side pipes.
Hope this upload of my car works. (Crossing Fingers now) Also this has been my Daily Driver for the last few months, when it hasn't rained.
