Hi I'm looking for an adapter to fit a Flathead V8 in a 1942 jeep does anyone know if the beast was made or not . I see Offy made one for a T-90 trans , the 42 is a Willys with a T-84 trans. Any help, info or a part to buy would be much appreciated.

    Cheers

Look for a T90 as well... the T84 won't live long behind a flathead.

Use a '46+ T90. Make life easy. The V8 will spill the guts out of the T48.

The T90 Adapter was made by Offy and is Part #5825. If you can't find one, you could modify an Advance Adapters SBF/T90 kit, or make your own adapter if you're crafty.

A friend put a 59AB Flathead V8 in his GPW, but used an S-10 T5 & Transfer Case, then just used custom driveshafts. He buzzes down the interstate at 70mph.

Pic below was found on the net when I was researching putting a Flatty in my old CJ2A.
