I am looking at changing the wheels on my 52. I seen these at SEMA and really liked them, just not sure how they would look with whitewalls. I know I could do the usual chrome wheels, just looking into different options. Any opinions or suggestion would be much appreciated. This is a picture of the wheels and a picture of my car. Thanks!!

White on a blue car looks good but would only go with maybe a 1" whitewall.

Those are pretty nice. I imagine they'd look pretty good with a whitewall.

I've never liked whitewalls and white wheels.... together there's just not enough contrast!

I'm thinking if it's going on a '52, it would look trick to throw a set of blackwall skinnies on there. the contrast would set the wheel off.....

from 51 to mid 53, with the Korean war going on, most factories switched over to blackwalls. guess something in the whitewall was used for the war effort?

anyway sorry for history lesson. black my man........

I think you would want to find a tire that has some black before the WW on the side wall. The whites are going to contrast no mater what. Maybe a 1 3/4" or 2" WWW.

I'm gonna go with a white/white combo because I wanted to show the shape of the 40 wheel. Plus it will fit the drab- drag car style of the car.

Do you have a pic of the car? How low the car sits can play a big part.

There is a small pic of the car in the original post. After seeing some these pics Im not sure there is enough contrast between the 2 for what Im looking for on my car even if I put beauty rings on them. Dont really want to run caps on it so it looking like chrome wheels may be my best bet..

  12. i've got white wheels on blackwalls, wheels pop out more without whitewalls in my opinion.
