That guy must have went to a few dealerships to have it fixed.I like the mechanics attitude. That is a good example of what mechanics have to put up with.If you run a shop where the customer is always right you won"t be in business long.

Sounds like customers when I worked in the city except it ended in them coming after you with a knife or baseball bat .

Ha, ha, good video. However, one day I went to the House of Corvettes to see my buddy, who was the chief mechanic. One of the other mechanics was trying to start a vette but it wouldn't start. I asked him what he did. He said he put a new cam in it. I asked him to crank it over and noticed the valves were barely opening. I asked him what kind of cam he put in, solid or hydraulic? He said he didn't know so I looked at the box it came in. It was a hydraulic cam so I told him to adjust the lifters for a hydraulic cam. He asked me how to do it (yikes). I adjusted the lifters for him and the vette started. I was a commercial artist at the time. (note to self: Don't let this guy ever touch my car!)

When I was 16, working in a gas station, I told some lady to get the hell off the property and don't ever come back! She said, "Let me speak to the boss!!! I said, "Sure, hey Uncle George!". Needless to say, she never came back.

reminds me of some of the idiots i have had to deal with.
had one wanted the temp. light to out but did not want to spend any money. so i opened the hood cut the wire at the sending unit closed the hood said no charge. he said it was not fixed i said you only wanted the light out.

Damn, that hit the nail on the head. I think that douchebag was in our shop just last week. If not, one just like him calls about 2 times a week. We had a kid insist that his 70's Celica didn't have points. We had to insist that the reason it would barely run, is because the rubbing block on the points (that his car didn't have) was worn almost all the way off. I also love it when people want over the phone diagnosis. "My car won't start... "

That couldn't be more accurate, I've been in the car business for 35 years now, and that nailed it.

The "clingers" are even worse, they are the ones that think because you fixed one thing on their car that you are also responsible to fix EVERYTHING else wrong with it over the duration of the next couple of months, fix a dent on the door, week later they think you should have replaced their brakes also....

example, big fat guy gets into a front end wreck, we repair the front, nice as new, comes to get his car, and complains that we did not replace the drivers seat, cause his 400 pounds had popped most of the springs through the bottem of the seat....WTF
