    Hi everyone,
I’ve been working on this project for a while now, but I never posted it on the HAMB.
There it is now, from the beginning to where we are.

Coming back From Paris to nearby my place, I stopped to visit a Friend.
    Peter from the Geneva's Cheaters.
He is the one I'm gonna work with on this project.

In my garage, so ... classic.

In the snow near Peter's place.

There he is measuring the 4.7 in. we gonna top chop.

And here I am, cutting in :)

A picture that anyone who top chopped their ride have done :)
    why? it's fun, that's all :)

    That's gonna be it's look

well all this has been done in a night, now it's cool beer time.
proud of what have been done.
    on the left, Pierre
on the right, well .... Peter
    and me.

    Next morning, welding time

    a gap

and how we fixed the gap. simple and efficient.

    see, no more gap

    End of the welding session,
time to get it back home

I was going to write the same thing. But you know what they say; always start with the best you can afford.

Beau travail, nous tenir au courant.

    The Gear box
    what a pain ....
I have spent so much time to find one !!
non available in France nore in Europe.
I got this one on E-Bay USA
    T5 Borg Warner from a CJ7 JEEP
    [IMG]

    Problem !
When we set the engine and gear in place on the frame the gear box
come to far back over the torque tube.
    why
because their was a 4 banger before and not a V8.
therefor the torque tube was longer.

    Other issue,
I bought this T5 expecting to use Crazydaddyo's adapter.
for what we've seen of it in the forum, it was the perfect solution.
but we also thought it was 500$. After talking with Crazydaddyo
I learned that the $500 price is for the mass produces S-10 adapter. The Jeep Tran is different and has many custon built features. the Jeep adapter is made one at a time from billet materials.
    It cost 1000$ !!!!!!
some pics of the T5 Jeep adapter

some like it like this , but for a lakester it's note quite that.
you can see a black tape on the front window, it was to remind me what will be my view when it will be done :)

speedway sent them very quickly but it's blocked at Paris airport due to snowy weather.
How do they do in Canada? they stop living for 6 months in the year ?

It still amazes me how these perfect '32 Ford's are just waiting to be found.

It really takes some balls to just whack that bitch up. I love it.

French flathead looks great too. Probably not as rare as they are here. Crazy!

You ARE putting the fenders back on, right?

    Keep us posted.
