Wow this brings back memories of a Christmas long past. For Christmas in the early fifties I received a version of this gun that shot ping pong balls. My mother told the story of my father, who had a couple of cocktails that Christmas Eve,taking the gun and shooting the glass ornaments off the tree.Whenever i see one of these at a toy show i can't help but remember that Christmas long, long ago.

Look what I found last summer from 1974. It's my original purchase order, with unused parts still in the box from JC Whitney. That's where you got parts back then. You can see front "A" front perch hangers, '50 Chev grease seals, rear spring shackles to lift the rear of my '58 Ford Galaxie and a set of '37-'53 Ford kingpins. All for $41.
I knew I had this stuff but misplaced it over the years. Last summer while building a non-HAMB 'glass salt flat type thing, I needed the kingpins fast when one of mine was damaged.
So in my current ride are the kingpins I ordered in 1974 and had never used.

I remember when these detailed and accessorized layouts appeared... and then how 1000 high speed crashes later the details would be reduce to rubble. Gary
