Headers for a '56 F100?

I'm helping a buddy with his low buck '56 Ford F100 and I'm striking out with all my old contacts when it comes to finding headers for this truck. It's got a later model 302 out of a Mustang, or something similar. Just need a small primary tube, nothing overly racey street header that will fit.

Any input on this will be appreciated!

I had the same problem on my 54 F100, I settled with a set of shorty headers.

 

If you don't have a Volare(sp) front end under your truck, I think any of the Fox body mustang headers will fit, especially the short ones.

 

Yep same ones aka Shorty's. I have a Volare front end in mine and there's really no other option with it other than custom building them.

 

I used manifolds when I put the 429 in my 55 f100 but I have heard that sanderson makes a nice set of shortys that fit well
