Thanks! I feel like I'm 12 years old again! Great car, I remember it well from the Hot Rod feature, yes I still have all the old ones I bought. Look forward to the rebuild and repaint in red.

Cool, I have that issue stashed away somewhere. I'll agree this time around that that car deserves to be restored to the way it was in the magazine. Right now though it just needs to get the van wheels off of it and get the correct wheels on it.

There really shouldn't be any doubt, that the '40 should be restored to this original '63 styling. Especially when you have it featured, in color no less, in one of the most popular publications of all time.

Awesome to find another one so well preserved, come out of the woodwork!

Now, let's see the rest of the stuff...

  7. I saw it at a Street Rod Nationals. Probably Tulsa or OK City. It was black then.

If that model was 20 when those pictures were taken she's 67 years old now, one year older than me. Wonder if the years have been as kind to her as they have to the car? This last year I met the homecoming queen from my junior year and she is just as hot now (maybe more so) than she was back then. You young guys have got a treat coming in about 30-40 years when you find out that true beauty will stand the rest of time and like fine wine can actually look better now than back then. I saw Sophia Loren on TV the other night and how I wish every women looked that good at 70+ years old.

Congrats! Very cool. I dig the Vette tail lights. Not a fan of those wacky canted front headlights though. They were definitely smoking some weird shit back in the day.....:D

Thats an awsome find Monte. Good to see you are still around. This is Richard (Ricky) that used to run the Super Shops store out there in the mid 90's with Cindy.
