No pics of the hotrod in the snow, but here's a couple of the yard. We got 23 cms (9") of the stuff on Wednesday, and so far this year there's over 18" of it on the ground.
You guys just got a light coating, I forgot to put my 95 SS in the garage over night now it looks like it is parked for the winter.
We got a shitload of snow here too and I take my 48 out for a ride, a very slippery ride with the old 650-16 bias ply tires. Check out my slip-n-slide here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EVyUHLNrh5o
I just love seeing that first dusting...then it gets old quick! This was just after Thanksgiving. Got about 2" on the ground now, and it's comin down.
Orn.....now that looks like a hell of a lot fun! thanks. Lots of rain here in SoCal. MERRY CHRISTMAS to ya all.
Bad drifting here, went to fire up my 60 and well, rude awakening! I brushed off the battery and the carb (yes no air cleaner) gave it a little gas and jumped it and it amazingly started.
Orn, Here in Minnesota (the other Sweden), they used to ice-race old Buicks like yours. That was a very long time ago, so my memory is a little feeble, but I think that there was some advantage to the Dynaflow over other transmissions.
Cool, yes I understand that Minnesota has some Swedish influence by all the immigrants. My 48 have three on the tree and not Dynaflow but its a lot of fun. Btw, I think I will dedicate my youtube video to Al Gore
We have gotten 28" of snow here in Minneapolis/St Paul so far this December. I think that thus far it's the fifth snowiest December on record. Because this part of our country was settled later than some other parts, records only go back to the 1880s.
We haven't had any snow this year... It is a rare occurrence in NM but last year we had a little bit... I like the snow pics though... This is last year..
we had a freak snow storm in October on the weekend of Holloween. We had over 12 inches from a very odd Nor-Easter. That storm leftus without power for over 2 weeks and lots of cleaning up to do. the fall had been abnormally warm and the leaves were still on the trees so we had MAJOR damage around here. We have had virtually no snow this winter. since then. We've has maybe 2 overnight light coatings but that is it. It's bee in the high 30's and 40's here in New England. We've even had quite a few days in the 50's and low 60's!!! NUTTY!! We've had the car out all winter so far. As soon as rain comes to wipe any salt off the roads...the car goes out. We're loving it. By this time last year we had over 65 inches of snow on the ground and more to come. We feel very fortunate to be enjoying 30, 40, and 50 degree weather this winter... This is what it looked like here in october:
Now let me give you a tutorial of Last winter:.... We ha snow storms coming in consecutively at about every week and a half. They were dumping about 3 feet per storm and it was snowing at a rate of 4 inches an hour. Let me tell you...by the second storm this was getting old. We had snow banks so high the backroads were now one lane roads, buildings were collapsing, houses were going down, barns we falling, etc. On top of all the snow the next storm that came through was pure ice...what fun Enjoy the pics. We couldnt get the cars out of the garage to take pics if we wanted to!!
It's snowing here in Colorado now. 12" (31 cm) so far and more on the way! I'm surprised that snow has stayed on the rail. Trust me, there is more than a foot out there. The wind has blown it around. The 2nd pic is out my back door. My 59 Skyliner sits out front standing guard...
