How many guys out there have customized the Hudson Terraplane truck?

A friend of mine, Gordy Brown, built this custom Hudson for a guy (late 90's early 2000). He chopped the Terraplane six inches and extended the cab six inches. The customer wanted the truck to look mostly stock. A majority of the truck was cannibalized from an actual Terraplane car and turned into a truck.

The Terraplane started out as an actual shop truck back in the days. But had sat for decades and was completely rotted when it was brought to Gordy Brown.

Through the generous donations of a Terraplane car, the old truck was put back together, chopped and extended.

    Here is the finished truck.

I couldn't help but fall in love withthe sexy lines on this vehicle. So I decided to alter it a bit in photoshop. Shaved and lowered, this is how I picture one looking.

GAWWWWDAM! I want a Hudson truck now. Just like the photoshopped one!!!

Wow. When I read "extended cab" in the description, I wasn't expecting it to look very good ... but damn. That thing looks amazing.

You knew somobody wasn't going to leave that picture alone without changing a few things. A quicky rework of the roofline and some skirts. Couldn't find spotlights to try on it, but that might be too much anyway.

Awesome work, the small cabs are my biggest complaint on these trucks. You pulled this one off perfectly !!

My buddy Russ turned this 5 window into a 3 window, the back end was cut open for a truck, and the rear of the fender removed to run a belt off of the wheel to power a corn sheller.

  20. That fucking RULES. Other than being a bit awkward at the A pillars, that is one of the most beautiful body shapes I've ever seen. Really.

...I fell for it too...:)...it's interesting all the Mods taken on here by others...they all compliment the classy lines from one of the giants if the Yesteryear...Hudson...

Here is something I did to it...

    Hudson_C5a.JPG

...It's coincidental that I was thinking You were the Hamber building an Inspiration of the So-Cal Plating Custom and that said I borrowed some of its swoop in the Carson Style Top I did on this...

The Hamber I was thinking was @nostalgia59

I've shared this Hudson here on a number of occasions and I just bumped into this Thread snooping around...that is Awesome work by your friend on the Pickup...I suspect you were behind the Camera work 59...great captures and nice photo imagery...;)
