  1. funny you should say that, during the ISCA show season I was on the road with the car and it got a huge scratchin it,couldnt get home for about 3 weeks to paint it and we used the sign to hide it at shows, the judges were in on it so it didnt hurt my point standing

On my brother's 55 which was done in flat black and grey primer - no it isn't a r@t r*d - he had everybody who helped him out sign the trunk in sharpie, then he cleared it. He has another trunklid for when he actually paints the car, but in the meantime it's kind of neat to see all the folks who have helped out - after 2 power tours, the list has grown substantially.

I love this color! Thinking about doing my coupe this color.
Is it a gold, bronze or copper?
Got the brand and color name?

  9. The creativity involved here is just awsome! I couldn't begin to offer congrats to all that deserve it... Amazing, truly amazing!

I especially like the idea of two signs where one gives details and the other gives credits. I wish I had thought of this when doing my latest, as there were so many to thank I had to leave them off for lack of space... Wot a scum-bag! You can bet I'll be adding another card if there is a next time.

I have done hand-lettered signs in the past (I'll try and get some pics), but when I rushed to get stuff done for our 50th anniversary car show this past spring, I resorted to the computer - GASP!!

I only have one for ya, circa 1983. hand painted by Walt on orange plexiglass. this was for my brothers car. he was going to throw it away. I've kept if since about '85 and 4 years ago I gave it back to him. the car is long gone but he still has his show card.

No your not!!! You have to do it either that yellow or the reddish orange that the car was originally painted in!!!!

Here's one Ed Wierd did for the coupe. Always wanted one, but never did an indoor car show until this past weekend. I like it alot. Now I have a lifetime of garage art. The check (and a T shirt) is in the mail.

Fancy show cards are great for a finished project. If you're showing a work-in-progress, it's a bit of a pain to keep getting it updated unless you can craft and paint it yourself.
