    This one is on my 29 coupe. I was told it's an old lightning rod end. I don't drive it in thunderstorms so I don't know if it works or not. Nor do I care!!

    car is off topic, but i made the entire shifter, as well as most of the center console. shift knob was a goofy cue ball, drilled it, and made a threaded insert that is epoxied in. knurled the outside of the insert and made it a press fit, plus the epoxy. [​IMG]

    I'm digging the black chrome ball I "found" in a corvette in a junk yard in '91
    made an adapter to screw on a Hurst bolt-on handle, now on a T5

    Nice, and nice use of a cheap extention. Got the same in my 64 Chevy. That really scares kids at my school. I always say "When all else fails, pull the pin."
